Ijazah Course

To hold an Ijazah is to have the authority to narrate and teach the Holy Quran, Hadith, and Islamic law. However, you can't have that license unless an Ijazah holder gives it to you. The succession of Ijazah (Sanad) holders goes back to the prophet Muhammad, as he taught his knowledge of the Islamic religion to his people

They Said About Us

Abu AbdurRahman Eesa Marqus

Al-hamdu lillaah, today I began my first lesson on Tajweed with Nour Al-Quran Academy and the instructor gave some introduction to Ilm ut-Tajweed by covering Mabadee al-Ashr (its ten principles). So we learned its name, its definition, its founder, its ruling, its benefit, its virtue, where it is derived, and so on. The teacher gave some practical advice on how to improve my recitation by reading Qur’an every day, listening to recitors that are known for their skill in tajweed (e.g. al-Minshawi, Abdul-Basit, etc.), and speaking in Arabic amongt friends. He spoke briefly about Makharij al-Huroof and began correcting some of my mistakes in reciting al-Fatihah. Insha’Allaah I will continue to benefit and I ask Allaah to aid and reward the teacher for his efforts.

(1) It is a dream for many students of knowledge to achieve firm and comprehensive understanding of the Arabic language. For many years, I struggled to study Arabic with the goal of understanding the Quran. I dabbled in self-paced programs and studied under many teachers from variouslanguage institutes, but I found that these programs were not personalized enough which made it difficult for me to continue my studies. When I met Nour AlQuran tutors, I was surprised to find a teacher that could reason andunderstand my goal to simply learn and appreciate the Quran. Every few weeks, alhamdulliah, I look back at the progress that I have made and it constantly motivates me to keep up my Arabic studies. Now when I sit with my Arab speaking friends, I can follow a lot of their conversations and sometimes contribute as well. When I recite the Quran or stand in prayers, I can understand the words of Allah and catch many linguistic nuances from which I was previously unaware. Students of knowledge need a strong teacher to guide them through their studies and I found mine at Nour AlQuran Academy. This opportunity is the answer to my prayers for an excellent Arabic and Quran teacher and I would recommend this Center to anyone who wants to see serious progress in their Islamic studies.

(2) As-Salam Alaikum! I just had my Quran class with Nour Al-Quran and I wanted to share my progress for those considering studying with Nour Al-Quran Center. Today I recited Surah Tahreem to my tutor. In many instances, he corrected me in my recitation and explained each mistake comprehensively. He notices many subtle fluctuations in recitation that are difficult for beginner students to pick up on without a teacher. In addition, he taught me new Tajweed rules and wrote them out for me so I can refer back to them. I am looking forward to starting the 27th Juz and passing my Quran exam this Friday which, by studying for, can really help you remember what you have previously memorized.
